I don't usually celebrate Valentine's Day, but since I've gladly taken part in the "condividiAMO creativaMENTE" (=sharing creatively) link-up for which every participant should share a post about it today, here's my little Valentine's project. And since it's all about sharing, I've also made a tutorial on it ^_^

Orson is a soft white bear with red cheeks. He is a bookmark bear. In his paws he holds a sweet message for the beloved one he is destined to.

COSA TI SERVE:
 feltro bianco avorio, beige e rosso (spessore 1mm)

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
❤ ivory white, red and beige/fawn felt (1mm thick)
❤ simple sewing thread in white, red, beige and black
❤ brown embroidery thread
❤ needle, pins and sharp embroidery scissors
❤ paper and printer to print the templates at the end of this post.

 PROCEDIMENTO/INSTRUCTIONS

1. Print the templates at the bottom of this post and cut them out. Pin the body piece on ivory felt and cut out 2x pieces. Cut out from beige felt a belly piece and a face piece, use ivory felt to cut out 2x paws. To make the cheeks, cut out a mini dot of red felt, freehand (about 5mm wide). Use it as a template to cut the other cheek. Cut two beige dots the same way to make the bear's ears. Take one body piece and sew the belly, the ears and the face on it, with beige thread using whipstitch.

2. Embroider the bear's nose with small parallel stitches, gradually smaller, to get a V shape (three stitches should be enough). Use brown embroidery thread. A pin can help you find the right spot where to poke the needle in.

3. Embroider the eyes and the mouth with double black thread. Use backstitch. Add the cheeks right below the eyes, sew them with red thread and use whipstitch.

4. Use double black thread to embroider a little X in the middle of the belly, to make the bear's belly button (use a pin to spot the centre easily).

5. Overlap front and back, put the paws in place and pin all the pieces together, and then sew with white thread using blanket stitch.

6. Sew the paws together with a few whipstitches into the felt, not through it (stitches should be invisible on the front of the bear).

Come già detto, con questo post partecipo all'iniziativa
As said, with this post I take part in the link-up
for which all the participants have to share a post a month on a specific subject. The fellow crafters who take part this month are:

{apri l'immagine in una nuova scheda/finestra e stampa le sagome mantenendo le dimensioni del file originali!}
{open the image in a new tab/window and print the templates keeping the original file size!}
